How does COVID-19 (Coronavirus) affect my Illinois taxes?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Illinois has extended their tax payment and income tax filing due date to July 15, 2020.

Scheduled Electronic Payments: If you have already scheduled an electronic payment for 2019 income taxes to be paid on or before April 15, 2020, your payment will NOT automatically be cancelled or rescheduled. If the payment has not been processed, you may be able to cancel or reschedule it before the scheduled date.

Estimated Tax Payments: Illinois has NOT extended the due date for estimated tax payments. The first two estimated tax payments are still due on April 15, 2020 and June 15, 2020.

Extension Filing Deadline: Illinois has NOT extended the extension filing deadline. The extended due date for filing your Illinois return is still October 15, 2020.
